Reports: Next Versions of iOS Will Be Launched as Public Beta

Apple is planning to release next versions of iOS as public beta - letting public test-drive its pre-release software, according to reports. The iOS 8.3 will be the first iOS version to launch as public beta, followed by iOS 9 in the summer.

Adoption rate of iOS 8 has risen to 68 percent, while 29 percent iOS devices still run on iOS 7 operating system, according to the latest figures, revealed by Apple on the official App Store Distribution page. Surprisingly, four percent of Apple devices are still running the older versions of iOS.
