"Game of Thrones" Season 7 is set to return. In fact, production is ongoing at this time for the series. It is hinted that there may be a possible spin-off series for the show.

According to a report, showrunners David Benioff and D.B. Weiss already noted that there are only 13 hours left in "Game of Thrones." This means that only a few episodes are left to show in the upcoming seasons. Season 7 is already confirmed to have 7 episodes while Season 8 is yet to be confirmed.

It is also stated in the same report that HBO is just waiting for the showrunners to confirm on how many episodes there will be for "Game of Thrones" Season 8. The showrunners are also firm that they already have a story in mind on how the series will go on until it ends.

In the meantime, while the story for "Game of Thrones" is about to end, Casey Bloys, HBO's president for original programming shares that the team is currently looking at a possible spin-off for the series. These are referred from the materials of George R.R. Martin.

The spin-off series for "Game of Thrones" is a possibility and they are looking at many angles on what to explore next. However, there is no confirmation as of yet if it pushes through and there is no script that has been presented yet.

Meanwhile, it already is reported that Freddie Stroma is not returning for his role as Dickon in "Game of Thrones" Season 7. This has been due to a contract he already has with ABC Studios. Dickon's character may be portrayed by somebody else and it is hinted that Tom Hopper may do the part.

Dickon's character is definitely coming back to "Game of Thrones" Season 7. It already is reported that this is not the first time that there has been a change of actors in the show. "Game of Thrones" Season 7 is to air this year.
