Grey's Anatomy won't be back on air for the latter part of its 13th season until January 19th next year. However, plenty of spoilers about the recent table read and shoots came out earlier this week.

The show ended its winter finale with a major cliffhanger. Fans were left to wonder whether or not Alex will go to jail. This has been one of the most asked questions since the show went on a quick hiatus.

According to spoilers, Alex will walk free, and will not go to jail. However, another major character just might. The character in question is Jessica Capshaw's Arizona Robbins.

The spoilers state that the Arizona was seen in a prison in one of the shoots. This will be shown in the first episode when ABC's medical drama series returns on air.

Some sources say that Arizona will only be there to tend to an inmate and that she will not be serving time. When asked about what her character will be doing in a prison, Jessica Capshaw responded with,

"Arizona's been called in on a case at a maximum security prison for an inmate who can't go to a regular hospital because she's that dangerous. After the longest day of all of their lives, they all go to a maximum security prison, where they are meant to do something that seems like a pretty simple procedure. It's truly kind of creepy at the same time as it's super provocative and exciting."

On the other hand, Lauren Hoffman from Cosmopolitan recently revealed her conspiracy theory and why she thinks Alex will not be going to jail. In a recent article shared with Cosmopolitan's website, Hoffman wrote:

"When Alex is sitting in the district attorney's waiting room, we see a man come in through the metal detector and then turn down the hallway toward the district attorney's office. We never see his face, and Alex doesn't either. Could it be DeLuca, coming to revoke the charges? (Can DeLuca even do that?) Or Ben, who'd just been talking to Bailey about Alex? I know there's very little to go on but having another person in that shot was so odd that it feels like it must be treated as a clue."

While these are all plausible theories, fans will still have to wait until January 19 to find out what will really happen on the show. Share your thoughts in the comment section!
