"Pokemon GO" developer Niantic has released Gen 2 Pokemon in the form of baby creatures that require hatching from eggs. Now that the first wave of Gen 2 Pokemon babies are out, players are now left to capture them all. Here are some "Pokemon GO" tips and guide we came up with to help players get a hold of the new baby Pokemon they prefer.

For the uninitiated, the newly released baby pocket monsters are Pichu, Togepi, Magby, Elekid, Igglybuff, Smoochum and Cleffa. Players are recommended to do some walking as these new "Pokemon GO" creatures can only hatch from eggs. Though Niantic has not released an official blog on which eggs a certain baby Pokemon should hatch from, a report from Eurogamer listed the possible baby Pokemon creatures that could hatch from given eggs.

The report claimed that Pichu could be hatched from two-kilometer eggs as well as Cleffa and Igglybuff. To those who wish to get their hands on Togepi, it is suggested that the said baby Pokemon will hatch from a five-kilometer egg. The rest of the baby Pokemon creatures, Smoochum, Elekid and Magby are believed to be available from hatching 10-kilometer eggs.

Apart from the baby Pokemon, players can also get hold of a Togetic if they choose to evolve their existing Togepi. Togetic seems to be the first Gen 2 fully grown Pokemon. However, trainers must have 50 candies in order to successfully get a Togetic evolution.

It is also important to note that Gen 2 baby Pokemon could only be hatched from newly acquired eggs as previously reported by News Everyday. It is also expected that more Gen 2 Pokemon will be released soon by Niantic. So for now, players can collect all the baby Pokemon creatures until the new ones arrive.

Meanwhile, a recent tweet from the official account of "Pokemon GO" confirmed that a Raichu evolution from the Christmas special edition Pikachu will retain the festive hat. Not only that, the newly evolved "Pokemon GO" creature will also keep the hat forever or permanently. Check out the Twitter post from "Pokemon GO" below.

What can you say about the new "Pokemon GO" Gen 2 Pokemon? Have you already captured a special edition Pikachu? Will you choose to evolve your Pikachu to a Raichu with a permanent festive hat?
