Niantic has already dropped the highly anticipated "Pokemon Go" December 2016 announcement and the exciting update made fans thrilled to get their hands on the game immediately. The game developer did not only reveal new baby Pokemon additions but also rewarded players with an early Christmas gift, a special edition Pikachu. Here are some relevant details we have gathered about hatching new baby Pokemon from eggs, including their move sets.

"Pokemon Go" December 2016 update brought new baby Pokemon such as Togepi and Pichu. Niantic announced that more creatures from the Johto Region in "Pokemon Gold" and "Pokemon Silver" video games will also pop up in the hit mobile game. Apart from the two named Pokemon, a report from Forbes revealed that baby Pokemon Magby, Cleffa, Igglybuff, Smoochum and Elekid can also be hatched from eggs starting Dec. 12.

For those who are still asking whether old Pokemon eggs could spawn new baby Pokemon from "Pokemon Go" December 2016 update, the answer is no. As per a report from Heavy, new baby Pokemon could only hatch from eggs that were collected from the launch of the new creatures. That's because the Pokemon that will spring from the eggs are predetermined from the moment the trainer obtained the egg.

Now that Niantic has already introduced new baby Pokemon creatures, trainers are left to discover what moves could these Pokemon bring. Reportedly, players from Reddit are now checking every new baby Pokemon they hatch and identify their moves. As of this posting, only the move sets of Pichu, Cleffa and Elekid have been confirmed by trainers.

Pichu is said to have Quick Attack and Disarming Voice moves. Cleffa, on the other hand, will give its trainers the headbutt and signal beam moves. Lastly, Elekid is believed to have a low kick and a Tbolt move though trainers still need to verify Elekid's moves as no image could support the details on Reddit.

Meanwhile, as mentioned above, a special edition of Pikachu will be appearing on the mobile game as part of the "Pokemon Go" Christmas event, reportedly. The limited edition Pikachu will be available until Dec. 29 at 10 a.m. PST. Trainers may expect to see Pikachu wearing festive hats as the Pokemon pops up randomly everywhere.
