Mobile gaming fans from all over the globe know that Niantic and Supercell are rivals when it comes to dominating the realm of mobile gaming. "Pokemon Go" and "Clash Of Clans" or "Clash Royale" have always gone head to head in the top charts. Apparently, Apple has confirmed that one is better than the other in the Apple iPhone Top 10.

Apple has announced that they have their very own version of The Game Awards 2016, and like the recent awards held for console games, Apple also has an award for the "Game Of The Year." In a previous report in News Every Day, it was mentioned that Blizzard's "Overwatch" nabbed GOTY at The Game Awards 2016. Apple has crowned their GOTY for Apple iPhone Top 10 and fans will be surprised!

According to Game Industry, Apple has decided which game developer had won over 2016 for the iPhone in the Apple iPhone Top 10 . It is known that Niantic and Supercell have always competed with each other, making sure that their games are up to date and relevant. Both Developers have released Halloween and Christmas Events to make their games shine as reported by Jobs & Hire. Players of "Clash Of Clans," "Clash Royale," and "Pokemon Go" can attest to this.

Early in 2016, Niantic has unleashed the bombshell that is "Pokemon Go" and it took the world by storm being the first location-based game. It was a massive hit and one can see players engaged with the game everywhere. However, the game lost hype as some fans got tired of the gameplay, only then did Niantic start heating things up.

Perhaps that is the reason Apple crowned Supercell's "Clash Royale" as their GOTY with "Reigns" as the first runner-up. One would think that "Pokemon Go" would make it to second place or at least in the Top 10. However, that is not the case for Apple's iPhone Top 10. According to Venture Beat, the Apple iPhone Top 10 are "Clash Royale," "Reigns," "Inks," "FIFA Mobile Football," "Klocki," "Rodeo Stampede: Sky Zoo Safari," "Pktball," "Snakebird," "Twofold Inc.," and "The Trail."

It is surprising indeed that "Pokemon Go" did not even come close to Supercell's "Clash Royale" in the Apple iPhone Top 10. Nonetheless, every game that made the Top 10 are deserving of the recognition.
