Green Day created an uproar at the American Music Awards when they made an anti-Trump chant while performing their single "Bang Bang". During their performance for their album Revolution Radio, Billie Joe Armstrong led a chant of "No Trump, no KKK, no fascist USA".

It looks like Green Day has been munching on too much politics. In 2004, they created the "American Idiot", which was inspired by various political events like the war in Iraq and the presidency of George W. Bush. Now, they are doing the same with Trump's winning.

It was confirmed later on that the American Music Awards was left unaware of Green Day's plan of holding an anti-Trump chant. Witnesses during the AMA rehearsals said that when Green Day performed, they never included the chant. It was only during the live broadcast when they added it. It is even unclear whether Green Day knows about the chant but just kept it out during the rehearsals, or if Billie Joe Armstrong simply made some last minute decision to include the Anti-Trump message. On the other hand, ABC executives are caught off-guard after the performance.

This is not the first time that Green Day criticized the newly elect US President, Donald Trump. Not so long ago, Billie Joe Armstrong compared Trump to Hitler. The band even changed the lyrics of their American Idiot during the MTV Europe Music Awards to "the subliminal mind-Trump America" from "the subliminal mind-fuck America."

On the other hand, people are also waiting for Trump to comment about the Green Day chant, including the issue of Gigi Hadid's impression of his wife, Melania. But for the Saturday Night Live and the Hamiton, Trump already released his annoyance on his Twitter account. Trump said "I watched parts of @nbcsnl Saturday Night Live last night. It is a totally one-sided, biased show - nothing funny at all. Equal time for us?"
