When "Hunter x Hunter" creator Yoshihiro Togashi failed to continue his pending work for the manga series, speculations about "Hunter x Hunter's" cancellation started to spread all over the internet.

According to Gack Hollywood, the series stopped at Chapter 360 before Togashi never gave any update about the series anymore. Some reports say that creator Togashi plans to leave the series and was not able give formal farewell to fans and followers. Some reports even say that Togashi has already started other projects and has allegedly put a strain to other "Hunter x Hunter" writers' works.

There are still many hopefuls out there who see this as just a break for Togashi to release the best parts of the series, Christian Times says. Some even say that he already has a handful of chapters in his hands and he's just waiting for the right time to release them. Fans even say that unless Togashi confirms the cancellation, they will not believe any "Hunter x Hunter" cancellation rumors. These positive reports included Ishida who is eyed to continue Togashi's unfinished work for the manga series.

The cancellation rumors are not new though. "Hunter x Hunter" was first released back in March 3, 1998. Since its release, the manga series has taken several long breaks most especially when the series reached year 2006. As of June this year, the series has already released 33 volumes or 350 chapters of the story.

"Hunter x Hunter" revolves around the story of Gon Freecss who later on discovered that his father, whom he thought was already dead, is actually a hunter. Even when Gon felt being abandoned after learning the truth about his father, he still tried to follow his footsteps. On his journey, he was able to meet other Hunters and also had his fair share of supernatural encounters.
