The Pokemon fever is taking over the world! The much anticipated next generation in the line of Pokemon Games is now here and ready for players all over the world. Pokemon Sun and Moon is finally out!

Aside from this fantastic news, Nintendo also announced that Pokemon Sun and Moon breaks the all-time record for the 3DS games. Nintendo reported that Pokemon Sun and Moon shipped around ten million copies worldwide, breaking records of other 3DS game titles. It is now coined as the biggest launch that Nintendo has ever seen in their 3DS platform.

The successor of the X and Y series and the flagbearer of Generation VII for Pokemon, Pokemon Sun and Moon is one of the most anticipated video game launch this year. The franchise already broke the record as the game with the most pre-orders and most demo downloads in HISTORY. That is something, right?

Now, Nintendo shipped out ten million copies worldwide to celebrate its launch release. That's 1.5 times more than the shipments of Pokemon X and Y back on its release. X and Y currently hold the record as the most copies sold, with 15.64 million copies sold worldwide. With the hype for the Generation VII, X and Y might have to say goodbye to this record.

A contributing factor to this success is the popular augmented-reality app, Pokemon GO. The people's excitement about Pokemon GO stirred up fans of both old and new to check out the latest installment in the Pokemon main games. The demo for Pokemon Sun and Moon reached 3.5 million, making it the most downloaded demo. GameStop also announced a Midnight Launch to get a head start in selling the copies for the fans.

Pokemon Sun and Moon is scheduled for release on November 18 in North America and November 23 in Europe.
