GameStop Hosts Midnight Launch for Sun and Moon

The upcoming Generation VII of the Pokemon franchise will be coming out in a few days. Pokemon Sun and Moon is just around the corner, and fans are eagerly anticipating its release. To hype things up, GameStop will host a Midnight Launch on the day of their release.

According to Gamnesia, the Midnight Launch will commence on Friday, November 18 at 12:01 am. The Midnight Launch will have selected GameStop shops to open beyond their usual closing time to cater Pokemon fans who are eager to get their copy of the games. This is also beneficial to players who wishes to get their copies without having to spend time lining up long queues.

Despite an early launch of the game, GameStop stores won't be conducting activities. They'll only start selling the game as early as 12:01 am to those who will shop up. There's no telling when will the participating stores will close its doors but if you're a fan itching to get a copy, might as well drop by on their launch.

The following GameStop stores are participating in the Midnight Launch:

  • Great Bend Plaza

  • Hutchinson Retail

  • Central Mall Salina

  • Hays Retail Center

  • Windward Plaza

  • New Market Square

  • Kellogg and West

To check out what's the nearest GameStop store to your location, you can use their store finder on their website to locate them. Also according to their site, it's at 9 am and the official release time will they be able to finalize transactions for purchases. Finalization will create a sale receipt for the item whether it's been deposited partial or full. Trade-ins are also accepted in these participating stores to lower the "out of the pocket" costs for customers.

Pokemon Sun and Moon is slated for release on November 18 in North America and November 23 in Europe.
