'Singularity' Updates, News; Robert Downey Jr. To Make His Directorial Debut; Anthony Michael Hall To Star The Series

After more than thirty years in Hollywood, Robert Downey Jr. is ready to move on into the next phase of his career which is, directing. Downey is set to make his debut on 'Singularity', a TV pilot highlighting his 'Weird Science' co-star Anthony Michael Hall. Downey and wife Susan Downey are likewise creating through Team Downey Productions.

Downey's team reported 'Singularity' as a feature of their first-look deal with Sonar Entertainment. Further details on Singularity are still under wraps, however, with the prominent ability on board, we can likely hope to take in more before too long.

In spite of the fact that Downey has been featured in motion pictures since the 1980s, and although that he worked with some phenomenal producers including David Fincher, Oliver Stone, and Robert Altman, he has just recently begun with bringing greater parts off camera. 2014's 'The Judge' was the primary project for Team Downey, which he and Susan produced in 2010. Different ventures being developed from the organization includes 'Sherlock Holmes 3, a 'Perry Mason' TV series for HBO, and a film adaptation of the Black Mirror scene 'An Entire History of You.'

Now that Downey has already into producing, directing appears like an energizing next step. Loads of Hollywood stars attempt their hand at directing inevitably, some with more accomplishment than others, and a TV pilot appears like a decent place to begin. Particularly since Downey and Hall go path back - notwithstanding 'Weird Science', they have worked in 1988's Johnny Be Good and 1994's Hail Caesar, and in addition the 1985-1986 period of Saturday Night Live.

At the point, Singularity's release date isn't clear yet. As of the moment, Downey is quite busy working with 'Avengers: Infinity War' which will start shooting soon and 'Sherlock Holmes 3' on his schedule at some point after that. Hall will be seen later this year in Ben Affleck's 'Live by Night', and one year from now in David Michôd's 'War Machine'.
