Pokemon Go has certainly captured the attention of gamers and non-gamers across the world. Aside from causing quite the hype in the mobile gaming world, it has also "inspired" a major console maker to venture towards the mobile market.

Sony is popularly known as a console-based business, with much of their revenue coming from their consoles the PS4, PSVita, and the like. Yet, following the success of Nintendo's Pokemon Go, Sony is set to "aggressively" focus on mobile gaming. In a report, Kaz Hirai, Sony's chief executive announced of their plans to enter the mobile market in the near future.

"[Mobile gaming] is something we are aggressively getting into. It's quite a shift from being just a console-based business to being on mobile phones as well," stated Hirai.

In addition to being inspired by Pokemon Go, Hirai also complemented the creative process involved in Pokemon Go.

"Pokémon Go is a real game-changer. I'm very interested in the fact that it has the potential to really change the way people move, literally," added Hirai.

Would this mean that Sony mobile games would have the same creative process which would push gamers to get out and go? Hirai had failed to state details on such plans, but has left the studio, ForwardWorks in charge of developing mobile games for Sony.

With the PlayStation 4 still a huge hit in the market, Sony isn't about to nose dive its focus onto mobile gaming. Fans of Sony however have already expressed ideas on the mobile game that has the same "creative process" involved as Pokemon Go.

The hit horror game, Fatal Frame, was originally popularized on the Sony consoles. Now, fans are all hyped about the possibility of Fatal Frame Go. Of course, all this is just talk on forums and nothing is set in stone. Aside from Fatal Frame Go, other mobile games proposed by players include a "Harry Potter" version of Pokemon Go based on the upcoming film, "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them."
