Simon Kinberg, producer, confirmed in a press event for "X-Men: Apocalypse" that "Wolverine 3" is already in production. He also added that the movie will be rated "R" as it is perhaps the most radical and bold film amongst the others in the series.

"It's violent, it's kind of like a western in its tone," Kinberg said in an IGN report. "It's just a very cool, different film."

Fans are already looking forward to "Wolverine 3" and now with the news about "R" rating, the character is expected to be more brutal and raw. The movie will take plenty of refrences from the comic books which have showcased Wolverine in his true, unfiltered form. Hugh Jackman is speculated to reprise his role as a Wolverine.

Producer of the film also confirmed that the movie will be set in the future. Thanks to the flexible timelines set by previous "X-Men" movies, it is possible for Marvel to feature their stories in any era.

However, it is still not known whether Patrick Steward will pick up his role as Professor X, but it is certain that Hugh Jackman will grace the Wolverine screen yet again. This movie is expected to take a deeper insight into the father-son relationship shared between X-Man and Professor X, which justifies the "R" rating.

"Wolverine 3" is said to be directed by James Mangold and will be the last time for Jackman when he plays the role of Wolverine. The fans can also see Boyd Holbrook as the main villain of the movie. There will be other cast members that include Richard E. Grant, Eriq Lasalle and Stephen Merchant.
