Kobe Bryant has already announced his retirement from the game and as a result, 2K sports has decided to honor his contribution to the game by introducing "NBA 2K17" Legend Edition.

Bryant has released a statement following the news that he is honored to partner with 2K for "NBA 2K17" Legend Edition. Kobe also added that even though he is retiring from the game, the fans would still be able to see his as a Laker in the video game.

Reports indicate that the latest addition to the 2K franchise, "NBA 2K17" Legend Edition, will be available for fans via pre-order on several online and retail sellers. The game is priced at $79.99 according to GameStop.

It was also revealed that the special edition of the game will include three specials such as Black Mamba controller skin, limited edition poster of Kobe himself and two Panini Kobe trading cards.

Furthermore, as far as the digital content is concerned, the gamers will be able to obtain 30,000 virtual currencies and a MyTeam Bundle with three packs that will also include a Kobe Hoodie and other paraphernalia.

2K also announced that the gamers who pre-order the legend edition will get an in-game bonus along with the game copy during the official release date, which for now has been said to be in September. However, on Amazon and GameStop, it will be available by December.

Apart from the "Legend Edition," 2K Sports will also launch a standard version of "NBA 2K17" by September this year which will be priced at $59.99.

Both the games can be played on Microsoft Windows PC, Xbox 360, Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3.
