Twitter had various background images displayed in the news feed, notification pages.

However, in order to make it more easier, less cluttered, and simple to use, Twitter has decided to remove the backgrounds from the home and the notification pages of the social network.

Buzzfeed.com reported that, only few pages on Twitter such as single tweet, list and collection pages would be left with background. But even on these pages, the backgrounds may not last very long.

Twitter said, "We are removing background images from the home and notifications timelines on web for all users". This would help the pages look less cluttered and clearer, leaving the important stuff in the middle with no distraction.
