A recent research first published in the Advances in Urology journal declared that 'woman on top' is the most dangerous sex position as it can lead to accidents like penile structure when not performed well.

The study, according to Independent UK, is conducted by a group of scientists in Brazil who investigated 44 men said to be admitted because of a fractured penis. The respondents of the study were taken from three hospitals in the city of Campinas, Brazil in a thirteen year period survey. They also underwent clinical, radiological and surgical evaluation.

Among the male subjects involved, 28 did heterosexual sex and four in a homosexual intercourse.

The study said that this happens when a woman accidentally do a 'wrong penetration' while doing sex with the whole weight of her body pressed unto the male's erect penis. Further, they said that while she commits a wrong, risky move to her partner's penis, she can never feel it happening.

"When woman is on top she usually controls the movement with her entire body weight landing on the erect penis, not being able to interrupt it when the penis suffers a wrong way penetration, because the harm is usually minor in woman with no pain but major in the penis," the Brazilian experts said as published in Mirror.

As an effect, fifty percent of males who had experienced penis fracture will hear a cracking sound. Eighty percent of the male subjects also lost their erections when the fracture happened.

Other symptoms included pain, swelling, detumescence and hematoma.

Meanwhile, researchers recommended that the missionary style is still the safest position in bed and has accounted for a 21 percent accident rate, The Telegraph reports.

"When the man is controlling the movement, he has better chances of stopping the penetration energy in response to the pain related to the penis harm, minimizing it," the experts said.

Penile fracture is said to be an uncommon medical condition wherein males feel embarrassed to talk about and to consult immediate medical help.

Males in the study are said to have seek medical help in average of six hours after the symptoms were felt.
