Double-checking, maybe even triple checking, your work can be extremely helpful.

But on Monday, ESPN national recruiting analyst Gerry Hamilton made a huge mistake. He forgot to double-check his tweet before sending it to everyone on Twitter.

Hamilton had just finished writing his tweet about No. 29 Roquan Smith. With two weeks till signing day, Hamilton provided information that the 17-year-old recruit was on his way to visit Texas A&M and UCLA. He added that Smith had already visited UGA and Michigan. On top of that, like any good reporter would do, Hamilton was going to provide more information on the linebacker by adding a link to the player's profile in the Tweet.

Unlike other reporters, however, Hamilton accidentally provided the world a link to a video from PornHub.com, a video that he was most likely watching while working hard to provide information on the young recruit.

Although Hamilton deleted the tweet and replaced it with the correct version immediately, the screenshot of the tweet has already circulated the Internet.

ESPN has not commented on this accident. Whether or not Hamilton will be punished for his mistake is unknown.

Late last year, ESPN allegedly suspended baseball analyst Keith Law from the social media website after he got into a heated debate about evolution with Curt Schilling. ESPN never confirmed the reason why they suspended Law from Twitter. All they said was that "Keith's Twitter suspension had absolutely nothing to do with his opinions on the subject."
