Recent developments indicate that a future update of "Street Fighter V" will penalize rage-quitters playing the video game. According to a NeoGOF member with the username Moradin, the punishment will tag the offenders with a profile badge. The game developer will also add other restrictions which it did not detail at this time according to this NeoGOF user.

Moradin has posted screenshots of "Street Fighter V" at the site as a proof of this latest news. The screenshots indicated that a rage-quitting gamer will get an icon of a death head in his profile. On the other hand, a gamer that does not rage-quit will receive a shield icon.

The tooltip tutorial of "Street Fighter V" also stated that the punishments will be given when a gamer disconnects himself during an on-going competition. The penalties will include temporary matchmaking restrictions and reduction of LP or League Points.

With this move, it appears that the developer of "Street Fighter V" is finally cracking down on players who rage-quit. There are players who don't play fairly. They try to circumvent the rules of the video game to retain the points that they have amassed in Ranked Match. This is a problem that plagued the games for many months.

What happens is that during a game of "Street Fighter V", players will fight for their League Points. But some players fear that their opponent will just quit and get out of the game when they are losing. The right thing to do is for that player to accept his loss. But if he is not honest, he will just pull the plug, and his hapless opponent will be left with a screen showing an error message.

With these recent updates, rage quitters of "Street Fighter V" will be punished by being marked with the death icon. GameSpot said this will effectively discourage rage quitting because players of this video game naturally do not want to be branded as such. This is timely since season 2 of the video game is to be released soon.
