The "Game of Thrones" have gained so much popularity that the Season 7 is well anticipated. Now, HBO is cooking something new but not totally different for the "Game of Thrones" fans out there.

The Season 7 of "Game of Thrones" would be returning next year and it was confirmed by David Benioff and D.B. Weiss that about 13 hours of material are left for the series and so there only about two seasons for the series to reach its end. The news is devastating for some and so a theory have appeared that a prequel might be scheduled for production but for now, the talks about it is still silent. However, it was hinted by HBO Chief Executive Richard Plepner that the company might make a "Game of Thrones" spin-off series.

"Game of Thrones" CEO Richard Plepner also stated that a brand extension did not escape the thoughts of the producers and the idea is very exciting. The idea is not farfetched as the series is very popular but for now the focused of the company is keeping every episode of the "Game of Thrones" exciting and full of energy.

Despite the popularity of "Game of Thrones", George R.R. Martin thinks that the competition for the 2017 Golden Globes will be hard. The series is up against "The Crown", "Westworld", "Stranger Things", and "This Is Us" for Best TV Drama Category and for that George thinks that "Westworld" might take the prize.

The series "Game of Thrones" have achieved a lot, nominated for Best TV Drama and competing against smash hits like Westworld and Stranger Things. This summer of 2017, the craze for each episode of the series will be back and fans would be rooting for whatever extension or spin-off it may be, for the "Game of Thrones".
