Taylor Swift has just turned 27 this week and it was a surprise to her fans that there were no traces of her celebration on social media. But no matter how hard the "Bad Blood" singer kept her birthday celebration private; details were still received on how the singer celebrated her special day.

A source has exclusively revealed to Hollywoodlife that Taylor only has one reason why she decided to keep the details on her birthday celebration a secret: she simply wanted to. The entertainment news site also reports that the source said the "Bad Blood" singer wanted to keep her celebration low-key so she decided to keep it from the public.

The source also revealed that Taylor's birthday celebration was just a simple and casual dinner with her friends. However, information as to who were present at the "Shake it Off" singer's special day were not provided by the source.

And though specifics on Taylor's birthday celebration were not given by the source and no traces of it were posted on social media, the "Blank Space" singer's friends still filled up the internet with birthday greetings for the singer. One of her squad, Karlie Kloss, posted a photo on Instagram with a birthday message to the singer telling her how blessed is she for having such friend in her life, News Everyday reports.

On the other hand, while friends and fans were giving emotional and jolly birthday greetings to the "Bad Blood" singer, one person seemed to have had a bad day that day, John Mayer. Taylor's ex-beau shared a post on Twitter saying that December 13 is conceptually the lamest day of the year, which happened to be the "Shake it Off" singer's birthday.

According to Fox News, Mayer deleted the post but his followers had already taken screenshots of the tweet. The "Your Body is a Wonderland" singer posted another tweet saying that the post did not intend to shade Swift but the fans still took the post seriously. Mayer reposted the tweet a day after, saying he should have not deleted it after all.
