Netflix "House of Cards" has been renewed for a fifth season. However, reports are rife that the political drama TV series will eventually be canceled. Some sources claim that its showrunner Beau Willimon is leaving the series while its main protagonist Frank Underwood (Kevin Spacey) will eventually die.

According to Daily Star, Beau Willimon is ready to leave the series to face politics in real life. The "House of Cards" showrunner is reportedly spending some time forming the Action Group Network to show their protest against president-elect Donald Trump.

Fans of the popular TV series believe that without Willimon, the fate of the show is dim. Thus, his departure triggered the reports that "House of Cards" is canceled. However, some believe that it is unlikely for Netflix to cancel the show as the production just added two new cast members for the series. Patricia Clarkson and Campbell Scott are joining the new season.

On a side note, there are rumors that Frank Underwood will die in "House of Cards." Some sources believe that if season 5 will make it, it will also be the final run for the series, Ecumenical News reported.

For those following this TV series, you are likely familiar of its ruthless pragmatism theme that is rich in manipulation and power. Reports have it that Underwood's death will also be filled with controversies.

Yibada reported that Frank Underwood's wife and First Lady Claire Underwood has political ambitions too. She wants to be the next president. Thus, she will plot Frank's death and will use this scandal to gain the sympathy of the people so they will push her to continue the political agenda of her husband.

Per the report, Claire will work with Frank's confidante Dough Stamper. The latter is very loyal to the president that he even killed someone for him. However, he knows that his political career is almost over, so his loyalty shifted to the FLOTUS.
