Netflix has just recently canceled "Marco Polo" and it seems that there won't be a third season for the series.

It is reported that "Marco Polo" is the first original series on Netflix to be canceled. It is known that Netflix rarely cancels their shows. However, this time it has and sadly it is for "Marco Polo. The series has been on Starz in 2012.

Netflix streamed two seasons "Marco Polo" and will end from there. Season 3 is not a possibility. In fact, Netflix VP Original Content, Cindy Holland, already shared in a statement thanking the actors involved and the crew for the series. This has been an official statement that the show is not renewed for a third season.

A report indicates that "Marco Polo" is said to be a very expensive production for television. This may be the reason why the show has moved its residence to Netflix from Starz. The series has been set in different places and had an estimated budget of $180 million for two years.

The budget for Marco Polo may have been the reason for Netflix to cancel it. There are no reports of any ratings for the series since Netflix does not disclose any. It cannot be known how the ratings went for the past two seasons of the series.

Netflix has been known for several original series and this includes 'The Crown' and 'Stranger Things.' "Marco Polo" has been running and is one of Netflix's original shows. The series must really be on its end since it has not been renewed for Season 3.

"Marco Polo" had two seasons with 10 episodes each and had been rumored to lose $200 million. This is a big one and Netflix may have found it hard to bring back especially with the budget. Meanwhile, Netflix is still on to get more original series as the year continues. It may even have more in 2017.
