The latest patch update for "Overwatch" is now in effect across the major gaming platforms--- Windows PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One --- courtesy of the video game developer and publisher Blizzard Entertainment. This includes the seasonal event Winter Wonderland, bug fixes, hero balance and other general updates.

"For the next three weeks, Hanamura and King's Row will be decked out in holiday lights, we're introducing a new collection of holiday-themed cosmetic items, you can challenge your friends to a snowball fight, and our Loot Boxes will be and tied with festive bows," says Blizzard Entertainment regarding the new seasonal event.

What To Expect From The Winter Wonderland Event

In the Winter Wonderland event, the usual Loot Boxes will turn into Winter Loot Boxes where gamers can expect one or more cosmetic items. The items from this collection range from sprays, victory poses, emotes, skins, and others, wrote iDigital Times.

The amusing Christmas skins, meanwhile, will feature Jingle Tracer, Frosted Zaryah, Santaclad Torbjorn, Peppermint Sombra, Rudolf Roadhog, Frostbite Pharrah, Yeti Winston, Nutcracker Zenyatta, Andes Lucio, Scrooge McCree, and Merry Mei. D.Va, Mercy, Reinhardt, and Soldier:76, however, did not join the epic costume party.

The gamers can also enjoy a new brawl dubbed as Mei's Snowball Offensive! Here, Mei's Endothermic Blaster will be capable of firing one potent snowball that can eliminate a target with just a single shot. The new "Overwatch" seasonal event will run from Dec. 13, 2016 up to Jan. 2 of the following year only. But, gamers get to keep all the items they have unlocked even after the event is over.

Blizzard Entertainment Other Patch Notes Details
