Despite having been behind on the trend of smartphones, Blackberry is not giving up on their products and loyal users as well. There have been reports claiming that the mobile company is about to launch another Android phone that will change the course of its history.

Blackberry Not Behind On Technology; To Launch New Smartphone Soon

It can be recalled that Blackberry has been rumored to have had their company on the edge of failing after a series of Android phones have been released by major tech companies: Apple, Samsung and more. However, they don't give into the hype and sticks to their original models until last year wherein they launched their very first Android phones. Blackberry has been known for its convenience on its qwerty phones, known to be used mostly by professionals and businessmen. They have also grown into the comfort and convenience of smartphones. Thus, to avoid any downfall, Blackberry gets into the hype of today's recent technology.

Last 2015, Blackberry launched their first unit in the industry of smartphones, known as the Blackberry Priv. Now, the company has been rumored to be launching yet another smartphone to be on track with technology, allegedly to be named Blackberry Mercury. The model name is not final yet since it hasn't been officially launched or announced. However, it has been reported that it will still have the physical qwerty keypad but with a screen big enough just like any other smartphones. It still doesn't take away their iconic qwerty physical keypad which makes it unique compared to other Android phones.

More Features And Specs On The Upcoming "Blackberry Mercury"

As for its' physical design, it is not made with its usual sliding feature, rather what looks to be a stretched version of Silver Edition Blackberry Passport that makes enough room for the screen to be just as big as any other smartphone. It will also allegedly be released in four different colors: silver, grey, green and red. Even though there hasn't been any official news yet,, the phone is set to be released and launched to the public sometime in the first quarter of 2017. In all hopes and glory of the company, this would take the course in leaning into modern technology.
