"Shadowhunters" will be coming back and the upcoming Season 2 will be much more fantastic and darker at the same time. The romance between Jace Wayland (Dominic Sherwood) and Clary Fray (Katherine McNamara) will continue and the battle to kill Valentine will end all their problems.

The "Shadowhunters" Season 2 is coming but what will it be all about? What Season 1 left the viewers will continue with Jace leaving the Institute.  Valentine, Clary, Alec Lightwood (Matthew Daddario) and Isabelle Lightwood (Emeraude Toubia) go looking for Jace. Unfortunately, they were stopped by Victor Aldertree's arrival and now that The Clave have plans of their own, saving Jace might be difficult to do for now. Jocelyn, on the other hand, is going to appear and doing more stuff as she needs to do what she fails to do when she was still in slumber.

The "Shadowhunters" Season 2 will have more supernatural adventures and will be much cooler according to Todd Slavkin and Darren Swimmer, the people who executive produced the show together with a lot more people.

To those who have read the book of Cassandra Clare "Mortal Instruments", which is the basis of the tv series, one would notice that events take place during nighttime or in a dark buildings or places. That is quite obvious considering that most of the characters are vampires.

In "Shadowhunters" Season 2 the story will lean unto the mission, relationships, the longing and yearning and the love triangles of the story. Visual effects and all will be added to make the physical projection of the series more effective.

The "Shadowhunters" Season 2 will have its premiere on January 2, 2017, Monday on Freeform. The series will air at 8pm-9pm EST.
