Bandai Namco Entertainment has revealed more details on the upcoming “Tekken 7” video game. The popular and probably everybody’s favorite fighting video game will be returning some of the beloved characters in the “Tekken” universe. Among the 25 characters that will be returning to the awaited game, two furry characters are announced to make a comeback.

A trailer was just uploaded on the official channel for “Tekken” and it has revealed two more characters returning to the scene. It has unveiled that Kuma and Panda will be back as playable characters in “Tekken 7”. Fans are excited to hear about this since these two go way back into the beginning of “Tekken”. The trailer also features the upgraded looks and moves of Panda and Kuma.

Kuma and Panda are adorable characters popularly known to be pet and bodyguard of a martial artist, Ling Xiaoyu. Aside from being beloved furry friends, both bears pack quite a punch with their raw strength and techniques. Kuma, which is Japanese for bear, made his first official appearance on “Tekken” back in 1994 as Kuma I and was reintroduced as Kuma II in “Tekken 3” in 1997.

Panda, on the other hand, made her first official appearance in “Tekken 3” as Xiaoyu’s pet and Kuma’s love interest. Heihachi Mishima taught Panda martial arts to look after Xiaoyu. Panda’s appearance in “Tekken” made quite a noise as it was not expected. Back in 2012, it has been reported that Panda being introduced onto the bandwagon was one of the craziest moments to happen in the “Tekken” series and everybody loved the comic relief surprise.

“Tekken 7” was initially released as an arcade game in March 2015 and was later updated into “Tekken 7: Fated Retribution”. The updated version will be remastered and released on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Microsoft Windows. “Tekken 7” will be released for the said consoles somewhere between the first and second quarters of 2017 and it will also include a new Online Tournament mode that will cater up to eight players.
