Santa Claus who told a 9-year-old kid to "lay off the hamburgers and French fries" is currently lying in a hospital bed. The labeled "Bad Santa" who has just been listed on the naughty list has been hospitalized in North Carolina.

Earl Crowder, who has been slammed in social media, is not in good shape since the incident happened. According to The Sun, Crowder's niece stated that Santa has been hospitalized after waking up having difficulty to breathe. Crowder's family also noticed that he has not been feeling well after the incident.

The news site also reported that Crowder even reached to a point where he attempted to shave his beard and cut his own hair.

New York Post reports that Crowder, according to his niece has a blot clot on his lung and is being advised to stay in the hospital until his health situation gets better.

Crowder has been working as Santa Claus in the Christmas House in Forest City for 12 years ever since the previous Santa was arrested for 'molesting' a girl. Crowder reportedly quit his job after the incident with 9-year-old, Anthony Mayse.

Mayse was said to be sitting on Santa's lap when he was told to "lay off the burgers and fries", which brought the kid into tears as he walked away, according to Fox News. Mayse said in an interview that no matter what shape and size a person is, it is not appropriate to disrespect a person, especially a nine-year-old kid, after tearing the photo of him and Santa Crowder.

The news site reports that Crowder apologized to Mayse's family after filing a complaint about the incident and demanding the company to fire Santa from his job. Mayse said that Crowder did not seem to be sorry when he came to apologize.

People in social media have been sharing posts and comments commenting about how inappropriate and disrespectful Crowder's actions were. A Facebook page was already created for Crowder for support, lead by people who have known him for a long time.
