United Kingdom iOS users will no longer be jealous as Microsoft has announced some good news. Microsoft's Cortana for iOS will be available in the U.K. Microsoft is also preparing for a significant design overhaul based on its users' feedback.

If you were not aware, Cortana is a voice activated virtual assistant software for Windows while Siri is to macOS. Cortana has been available for iOS in the United States for precisely a year now, allowing PC users with Apple devices to sync their reminders, notifications and so on between the two platforms, as reported by Mac RumorsHere are some amazing features of Cortana:

First, Cortana can be your best travel companion as it seamlessly keeps track of the things you need to remember across all the platforms as you use her. The user can also set a reminder on your PC and get it on your mobile phone. Second, You will never miss a phone call. While in a meeting, the Cortana app will provide a missed call alert on your Windows 10 PC and let Cortana send a text back letting them know you will call them later - all without leaving your PC.

Aside from the awaited U.K. debut of Cortana, Microsoft has additional good news. The company teased the users for its upcoming redesign and overhaul of the Cortana software. It promises to deliver a much cleaner, simpler interface. Aside from that, it will also introduce a feature that could place frequent used functions in the front and center for easy access. Thus, there is more accessibility to checking things like calendars, news, and weather, and setting and viewing reminders with a tap on the main screen, according to AppleNws.

There is more, clearer full-page answers to queries will also be featured and the app will be significantly faster. Cortana for iOS is a free download for iPhone and iPad.

Meanwhile, Cortana will not totally replace Siri as it is an optional app and be voluntarily downloaded. However, there was no clear set date provided by Microsoft for Cortana's U.K. App Store debut, but the redesigned app is said to be arriving on both sides of the Atlantic "in the coming weeks," according to Mac Rumors.
