Who would have thought that this series would reach this milestone? Joe Minoso would have thought that his series Chicago Fire would reach 100 episodes. Minoso and his fellow Chicago Fire cast members are celebrating the NBC show's 100th episode in its fifth season, titled One Hundred and will air at 9 p.m. Tuesday.

He said the show gave him everything, who plays firefighter Joe Cruz. He met his wife on Chicago Fire, it provided him the opportunity to buy his first home and his first car, he added. It quickly became a hit for the network and currently ranks as NBC's second highest-rated series behind This Is Us. This drama series about the firefighters and paramedics at the firehouse of Engine 51.

The show is so successful, it has already spawned two other shows, Chicago P.D. and Chicago Med. A third one called Chicago Justice will launch in early 2017. Show creator Derek Haas said they are still pinching themselves if this milestone is just a dream.

He created the show with Michael Brandt. Minoso says he still is in awe by the success of Chicago Fire and the growing One Chicago franchise. He said they barely expect a Season 2, let alone five seasons and 100 episodes. That's a lot of television. That's a lot of hours that fans have spent their time committed to us and dedicated to watching the lives of these characters, he added.

The 100th episode of Chicago Fire will feature One Chicago cameos. Chicago Med character Dr. Jeff Clarke (Jeff Hephner), a former firefighter, will ask his old friend Lt. Kelly Severide (Taylor Kinney) to get a blood test to check if he is a match to donate to a dying woman his bone marrow.

Meanwhile, paramedic Gabby Dawson (Monica Raymund) and Lt. Matt Casey (Jesse Spencer) take a huge step in their plan to adopt their foster child, Louie (Aiden and Austin Cohen). The episode is full of the dramatic rescues for which the show is prominent, but the biggest rescue involves Molly's, the struggling bar owned by some of the firefighters.

When Otis learns that Molly's is a former 1920s speakeasy, he thought of an idea to throw a centennial party that will bail out the bar.
