'Seven Deadly Sins' Spoilers News & Updates Out On A Hiatus Won't Be Back Until 2017, What Happens Next On the Series

Fans of the "Seven Deadly Sins" manga series were saddened to know about its most recent hiatus. The manga series won't be back again until next year, 2017.

The reason behind the sudden break is Nakaba Suzuki's declining health. Suzuki is the author of the famous Japanese fantasy manga series. Suzuki both writes and illustrates the series at the same time.  

Fans who often read manga series' are no stranger to series being put on hold for the authors' health. This case has happened several times before to different series' and authors.

The Weekly Shonen Magazine Editorial Department (the magazine who serialized the manga series since 2012), released this statement on December 3, 2016:

Like always, thank you very much for reading "The Seven Deadly Sins". Due to Nakaba-sensei hospitalization as a result of surgery, "The Seven Deadly Sins" will be in hiatus for a while.  Please, do not be worried, his medical condition is not serious and he is fine.

Also, despite the main series being on hiatus for a while, the special side stories will continue being published. The main series serialization is schedule to be resumed in Issue 7 of 2017 (It will be available on January 18, 2017) (Wednesday)

Yonkou Productions Blog also released a handwritten message from Nakaba Suzuki saying: "I'm sorry to have to pause, but I plan to resume editing as soon as the medical allows. But we'll be also keeping in touch with the mini-series! Thank you so much for continuing to read and we'll see each other very soon!"

As promised, Seven Deadly Sins will resume in Issue 7 of 2017 in the Weekly Shonen Magazine. The storyline of the second season of The Seven Deadly Sins is rumored to feature the events that will take place after the four-part OVA series.

This will be titled "The Seven Deadly Sins: Signs of Holy War." It will feature Princess Elizabeth as she continues her journey searching for the Sacred Knights and regain the Liones Kingdom.
