According to reports, Samsung has decided not to go with a dual lens camera for the upcoming "Samsung Galaxy S8". Earlier news claim that S8 was supposed to have two cameras, both boasting a high megapixel lens, wherein one of it will have a Sony module. But it looks like the company has decided to ditch the feature for several reasons.

Speculations say that one of the major reasons is cost production for "Samsung Galaxy S8". The company has already lost a lot in the previous Samsung Note issue so keeping their project at a minimum budget would really help. Others claim that Samsung could have something new to introduce that made them decide a dual lens camera phone is no longer needed. Actually, there are already android phones that have rotating cameras so it's not really entirely bad.

The news started when Weibo Leakster Ice Universe, a known tipster and has a good track record with the news it publishes, leaked that "Samsung Galaxy S8" will no longer have two cameras, unlike its predecessors. The site did not share what could be the exact reason or what feature will replace the dual camera so everything is still a speculation until confirmed.

However, the website did reveal the new android smartphone, "Samsung Galaxy S8", will come in different size and other bigger variants will still have the dual camera feature. So this means that Samsung is still giving its consumer the choice to choose the bigger dual camera or the compact version but with just one camera. Giving choices to consumers is always a good thing because some really prefers it big and some don't mind the sacrifice for a smaller but still efficient phone.

Samsung is expected to announce more details about "Samsung Galaxy S8" in the MWC 2017 which is only a few months away. So until then, everyone will just have to wait to confirm what features will be ditched and introduced in "Samsung Galaxy S8".
