'Sense 8' Season 2 Air Date, Spoilers, News & Update: Netflix To Stream A Christmas Special For The Series, What We Know So Far!

Netflix has renewed its original series, "Sense 8" for a second season. In the meantime, a holiday special is set to be revealed this month.

"Sense 8" Season 2 will pick up with the conclusion from the first season of the series. The characters' lives will be interwoven with each other as the story unfolds in the second season. The Sensates need to protect each other and will find a way to do this in the show.

The characters in "Sense 8" Season 2 will find their tragedies and triumphs connected with each one. The story unfolds more mysteriously as the series continues and as they find deeper connection towards each other.

It is reported that a Christmas special that will run for two hours will be released by Netflix for "Sense 8" Season 2. This is going to be available for streaming by December 23. The first season already wrapped up for the series and is still moving on for a second by next year.

The series "Sense 8" includes Tuppence Middleton as Riley, Brian J. Smith plays the role of Will Gorski and Doona Bae is Sun Bak. Other casts include Aml Ameen who portrays the role of Capheus, Max Riemelt is Wolfgang and Tina Desai plays the role of Kala Dankekar. Additional stars are Angel Silvestre as Lito Rodriguez and Jamie Clayton who portrays the role of Nomi Marks.

These eight individuals do not know each other but have been mentally connected to each one in "Sense 8." Their journey continues in the second season of the series. The Netflix original series is executive produced by Lana Wachowski, Grant Hill and Michael Straczynski.

Meanwhile, a report indicates that it is not sure if Aml Ameen is going to be part of  the "Sense 8" Christmas special. Rumors have it that he has quit the series while filming two episodes of the second season. Right after the Christmas special, the series is set to return with 10 episodes on May 5, 2017.
