New From HP: Virtual Reality Displays, 4K and 5K Displays And Curved Displays

Hewlett-Packard (HP) is introducing three new types of displays in the coming Consumer Electronics Show (CES). These are: Virtual Reality displays, 4K and 5K high-definition displays and curved displays.

The Hp Zr Virtual Reality Display is a 23.6-inch desktop monitor that lets you view 3D images and rotate, manipulate and navigate in three dimensions. Hopefully, the virtual reality displays will help professionals design better products as they can manipulate them in 3D before finalizing.

The Hp Zr display has what HP calls True Holographic Viewing - the 3D animated objects can be manipulated in real time. The technology is powered by zSpace technology - an instance of blended reality (tech that reduces the shortcomings of digital world compared with physical world).

HP is also launching 4K and 5K displays. The HP Z27s HP Z24s 4K Displays and the HP Z27q 5K Display can render more than 1080p resolutions, providing visual details that are better at UltraHD resolutions or better.

Along with high-def monitors and virtual reality displays, HP is also launching a series of curved display: HP Z34c, HP ENVY 34c, HP EliteDisplay S270c, and HP Pavilion 27c.

The best thing about curved displays are that theirs curves wrap around the field of vision, giving you a deeper visual and audio experience. These curved displays have a 178-degree field of view and can provide 3000:1 contrast ratio.

HP Zvr will be available Spring 2015 onwards. The pricing of this display has not been disclosed yet.

The HP Z24s and HP Z27s displays should be available worldwide beginning in January and April respectively. U.S. pricing starts at $750 and $550, respectively.

The HP Z27q Display will be available beginning in March at an estimated U.S. price of $1300.

The HP Z34c and HP ENVY 34c are expected to be available worldwide beginning in April at an estimated U.S. price of $1,000.

The HP EliteDisplay S270c and Pavilion 27c Curved Displays are available right now at $400.
