There are reports by Itech Post that claim that the reason the series is going to be cancelled is due to the fact that the stars and their characters are growing up and that the storyline might not be fit for the audience of the network. However, the fans have said that they don't believe that this could be grounds for cancellation, since there are still a lot about the characters' lives that need to be learnt. These issues and questions about growing up could help the audience in dealing with their own versions of growing up as well, some fans strongly say so.

Itechpost went on to report that the filming for Season 3 of "Girl Meets World" has finished in August. And now with just four episodes remaining the fans are eager for the show to get confirmed for its next season as well as per reports. Disney has not given any statement about the issue. despite all the attempts made by Rowan Blanchard’s campaigns, fans taking up to social media, Disney is yet to get convinced to come up with a firm decision.

Disney did announce that they would be releasing a third season of "Girl Meets World" sometime on Nov 25, so hope may still be there for the fans. but with the last episode of the series being titled “Girl Meets Goodbye” it’s only logical to think that’s where it ends.

Movie News Guide reported that Rowan Blanchard posted on her Twitter account asking fans of "Girl Meets World" to support the series renewal for one more year. Many fans have taken it upon themselves to help save the show by tweeting out varies of hashtags and messages.
