Michelle Obama's designer Sophie Theallet gives a "no" in an open letter on matters working for Melania Trump. The open letter of the company also calls to other designers in the country to do the same.

Sophie Theallet feels that her design and company should not associate with racism, xenophobia, and sexism. The designer's impressions about the Republican election campaign extend in hatred and discrimination, contrasting values they lived by.

Sophie said on The Grio, "the bottom line is not just about money". She wrote further "As one who celebrates and strives for diversity, individual freedom and respect for all lifestyles, I will not participate in dressing or associating in any way with the next First Lady."

Working with Michelle Obama was an honor for her reputation and a highlight for her life and the business. The Obama First lady has a reputation that contributed much to her creation being recognized globally.

The 52-year-old French designer worked in the United States for at least fifteen years, reported on Tribune. Her creation is regularly seen in New York Fashion week. Since 2009, Sophie has dressed Michelle Obama because the design she makes fits the taste of the first lady.

She developed a close relationship with the current first family but strive not to get involved with politics. This is now a matter of principle, personal ideals and great values.

Theallet also posted the official statement and open letter in Instagram which was highly praised by people with an equal amount of criticism at the same time, said on Essence. The designer was well aware of the consequences of her stand not dressing Melania Trump and she is ready for it.

The move was in the name of solidarity without hesitation what becomes of their business after that. With hundreds of designer in the country, who else will dress up Melania Trump?
