For Pokemon fans, the subject of trading is not new anymore. Over time, the trading system has been improved drastically to provide an easier way to trade these monsters with other people. In 2006, the Generation 4 games, Pokemon Diamond and Pokemon Pearl were the first game in the series to introduced the GTS or the Global Trading System.

The Global Trading System is a trading system that lets you trade Pokemon with other people around the world. You can freely deposit a Pokemon in exchange, tell it on the information what Pokemon are you wishing to receive in exchange for it. To do so, you must be connected to the internet. It's a popular feature that, since introduced, has been part of every Pokemon game iteration.

In an interview with Junichi Masuda, the composer behind the music for Pokemon Sun & Moon, he commented that the Global Trading System would have a lot of new features. This would include a simple chat room that lets players exchange fun greetings and messages.

He also said that Game Freak added a "Quick-Link" feature, that grants player quick access to trade on certain players. They also added a lot of changes, mostly on user-experience to help improve it and provide a much better experience for players who are frequent users of the trading system.

"So just like previously we've got the GTS feature where you can use wifi to connect with people all over the world. This time around we've also added the Quick-Link feature where you can quickly open a trade with another player, and just get straight into it like that. There's also a simple chat feature in there so you can exchange fun greetings or messages with other players, so we really think that these sorts of small additions will add an extra layer of enjoyment to the communication features in the game, and hopefully allow players to have a deeper experience on that side of things." - Junichi Masuda

Pokemon Sun & Moon is slated for release this month on November 18 for North America and November 23 for Europe.
