Zero Escape Series Headed to PS4, PSVita and PC

Rejoice, Zero escape fans! Aksys Games and Spike Chunsoft announced the Nonary Games for the Zero Escape series to make its way to North American waters in Spring 2017! The Nonary Games consists of the first two Zero Escape games: Zero Escape: Nine Hours, Nine Persons, Nine Doors (999) and Zero Escape: Virtue's Last Reward. The games are slated for release for both Playstation 4 and Playstation Vita in 2017. They'll be available both physically and digitally in North America and Europe.

Aksys Games said that Nine Hours, Nine Persons, Nine Doors (999) and Virtue's Last Reward would be rebuilt "from the ground up" with high-definition graphics as well as updated voice cast for the Nonary Games. Developer Spike Chunsoft also announced that the Nonary Games would be available via Steam for the PC this coming Spring 2017 and will have full controller support.

Here are the system requirements for Zero Escape: The Nonary Games

Minimum:

  • OS: Windows 7

  • Processor: Intel Core i3-530 CPU 2.93 GHz or better

  • Memory: 4 GB RAM

  • Graphics: DirectX 9.0 compatible GPU with at least 1GB of VRAM

  • DirectX: Version 9.0

  • Storage: 4 GB available space

  • Sound Card: DirectX 9.0c compatible sound card

Nine Hours, Nine Persons, Nine Doors is a visual novel adventure game developed by Spike Chunsoft and is the first installment in the Zero Escape series. In was released in North America back in 2010 with an iOS port in 2013. The game follows the story of Junpei, a college student who is forced to play the "Nonary Game" along with eight other people. Its sequel, Virtue's Last Reward was released for Nintendo 3DS and Playstation Vita. The third installment of the game, Zero Time Dilemma, came out earlier this year on June 28 for Playstation Vita and Nintendo 3DS.
