iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus have lots of things in common. Water resistant, A10 fusion processor, and a lacking headphone jack. Specifically, iPhone 7 Plus have dual rear cameras, longer battery life, and a bigger storage compared to the previous models and it also includes a 256 model.

The iPhone 7 Plus camera, is said to have the best camera performance ever compared to other iPhones according to Digital Trends. It has the best optical and digital zoom, dual main camera with 12-megapixels, optical image stabilization, phase detection focus and HDR. And the front camera takes great pictures or selfies with its 7-megapixel.

Samsung Galaxy S7 rivals the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus closely. Its camera was 12-megapixel dual-pixel sensor, autofocus that's fast,  large 1.4-micron pixels and wide f/1.7 aperture according to Tom's guide. Thus, Galaxy S7 can be said to be the fastest phone camera as its focus and refocus are fast and almost instantaneous. The Samsung Galaxy S7 was only surpassed though by none other than Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge, the larger twin of S7.

Identifying the best smartphone in terms of cameras between iPhone 7 and 7 Plus against Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge would differ depending on one's preference. Google Pixel XL has 12.3-megapixels with f/2.0 aperture with support for phase detection, laser autofocus and HDR. LG V20 have dual -camera setup, 8- and 16-megapixel camera with an f/2.4 and f/1.8 aperture respectively. While Huawei P9 have also dual cameras at 12-megapixel and f/2.2 aperture which supports face detection and HDR.
