In a report from Deadline, "Sherlock" Season 4 has been hinted to be the darkest season of the series. Toby Jones is also to join as a new villain in the upcoming season. Other than the new villain, this season will bring in more ghosts to the show.

Cumberbatch has hinted that "Sherlock" Season 4 may be the end. This upcoming season of the series has hinted to have the show reach the climax. Watson and Sherlock's adventures may be more challenging in the season.

Digital Spy reports that there are already hints of the episode titles of "Sherlock" Season 4. 'The Six Thatchers' and 'The Lying Detective' are just the two episode titles being revealed. It is speculated that the first episode title which is 'The Six Thatchers' is likely to be based from Doyle's 'The Adventure of the Six Napoleons.'

'The Lying Detective,' on the other hand, is most likely to be based from Doyle's 'The Adventure of the Dying Detective' which features Culverton Smith as the villain. These are the recent titles being revealed. There is no title as of yet for the third episode for "Sherlock" Season 4.

According to TV Line, Moriarty returns in "Sherlock" Season 4. This may be the end of the series and it is worth coming back. The latest villain who comes in for this season is said to be with a rotten soul. Toby Jones is the new villain and is rumored to be the darkest one.

Watson and Holmes work together again in "Sherlock" Season 4. Their story also reach climax in this upcoming season. Fans also can expect the season to be darker and more mysteries to solve for Sherlock are about to unfold.

Fans and followers can expect "Sherlock" Season 4 to air on January 1, 2017.
