"Fake reviews" in Amazon is a great concern for the firm for quite long. Many market analysts predicted that it is lethal that paid reviews can end the fortunes of the firm. Since 2015 it started cracking down the fake reviews and now it is confirmed that Amazon has taken three of its sellers to the court stating fraudulent reviews have been posted for their products.

It is reported that there were 1000 lawsuits from 2015 to crackdown the fake reviews, which actually destroying the reputation of the online retailer. Now the firm decided to move against two sellers from the U.S. and one seller from the EU. There were up to 54 percent of the total reviews were incentivized and fake. The firm has learned that almost 11 products sold by Arobo Trade INC/Aumax Direct and four products sold by Cyande Group had fake reviews, reports Fortune.

"We aim to eliminate the incentives for engaging review abuse that shuts down the platform with fake reviews for compensation," Amazon said. "If any such abuse found on the platform, we will take enforcement and legal action against such sellers who is getting paid reviews," cited by Tech Crunch.

Amazon initially did a mistake by introducing incentive program for sellers on reviews, which enable the sellers to give discounts for reviews. Some sellers were giving heavy discounts and even free products to get better reviews from the customer. In the long run, people started disbelieving Amazon reviews and considered them as fraudulent reviews. It started affecting the reputation and business of the firm. Now, it is forced to act against fake reviews, reported by Chester Independent.

It is also reported that many individuals, who posted reviews for incentives also been sued during the course of time. It is not sure whether the court would take action against people, as it comes under personal opinion, though it could be fake reviews in reality. However, the firm can proceed against sellers.

It is high time to introduce an error-free system to avoid fake reviews being posted for the products, to save the sales and revenue of the company. Google is already trying to get business with its "Google Express", which now covers almost 90 percentage of the country should be a point of thought for Amazon.
