'Finch VR' Controller Is Set To Release This Year; Finch VR Controller Is Compatible With Any Smartphone And Will Be Working On With Steam VR

A VR startup company called Finch is about to launch its first hand controller for VR devices. The "Finch VR" controller is compatible for mobile VR that is worn on the palm and fingers.

According to Press Release Rocket, the company is now accepting pre-orders for the "Finch VR" controllers. It will consist of a developers kit of the universal wireless VR controllers for all VR devices in the market.

The new "Finch VR" controller has five IMU sensor straps that will fit with your fingers. The "Finch VR" controller will allow the players to play games using intuitive hand gestures which is way cooler than the traditional game pad and other hand VR controllers.

Not only that, the "Finch VR" controller will can also be used on web browsing and it has an amazing virtual keyboard feature. This awesome VR controller is compatible with all smartphones and as per the Hardcore Gamer, the "Finch VR" controller is currently in development for the compatibility for Steam VR and Leap Motion.

The "Finch VR" controller doesn't need a camera and will only rely on its high-accuracy hand gesture recognition. Players can interact with in-game objects with the "Finch VR" controller, can also control apps, web browsing, typing and other types of navigations.

You can see from its physical looks that it has a sci-fi look. A mini touchpad is installed on index finger part and the "Finch VR" controller is using a biomechanical algorithm in order to locate and determine hand positions to prevent sudden drift.

Another good thing about this "Finch VR" controller, is that you don't need to have a certain powerful desktop CPU or top of the line gaming laptop. Cameras are also not required for it doesn't have distance limit.

As of the moment, the "Finch VR" controller can be purchased via pre-orders on the Finch official website. The developer kit comes with the "Finch VR" controller unit for left and right hand and will cost $238 per package. Shipping starts this coming December and will officially distribute in early 2017.
