There had been rumors that anime lovers' favorite show "Naruto Shippuden" will soon end. Many thought that after the final battle of Naruto and Sasuke, there will no longer see the show on their televisions. But it appears that they are wrong.

As a way of saying thank you to its viewers, "Naruto Shippuden" epilogue novels will also be getting an anime adaptation. With that, the back story of the characters like Shikamaru, Konoha and Sasuke will be featured.

Aside from that, the 46th issue of Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine will feature Naruto’s Boyhood Arc (Shonen Jidai-hen). This will be released on Oct. 20.

Many speculated that the next episode will feature the wedding of Naruto and Hinata. But according to reports, Naruto’s childhood days will be featured in the Boyhood Arc wherein the Nine-Tails is still sealed within him. A preview of episode 480 shows that the upcoming episode will have many flashbacks.

Boyhood Arc on the 480th Episode

Based on the preview of Episode 480, the upcoming episode shows a flashback episode heralding a flashback arc. This is apparently contrary to recent speculations claiming that the premise of Episode 480 is Naruto and Hinata’s wedding.

The ending of the anime will have a time skip of 10 to 15 years. There are many events during this period including the coming out of Kakashi as Hokage and the wedding of Naruto and Hinata will be featured here. Aside from that, it will also feature the love story of Sakura and Sasuke.

Although the Boyhood arc will be featured, reports reveal that it will give emphasis to the abovementioned events. This would mean that fans of the anime will not have the privilege to explore more of said arc. The last two chapters of Naruto Shippuden manga focused on how Naruto became a Hokage.

A new opening theme song for the series will also be featured which will be sung by Anly. Meanwhile, the group Ayumikurikamaki will perform the ending theme song “Tabidachi no Uta” (Departure Song).
