The Philadelphia 76ers are now facing another devastating problem, again. The Sixers are in the same scenario where they have been for the 3rd time. The 2016 1st overall pick Ben Simmons will be sidelined for more than 2 months of the NBA season.

Ben Simmons caught up in serious injury where their previous rookies have a similar injury that kept them in a suit for a year. Simmons accidentally injures himself as after he rolled his ankle in the middle of Sixers scrimmage.

According to the Business Insider, the Sixers cannot give an exact timetable on Ben Simmons' return to the court. Since the Ben Simmons is too young, he has a lot of time to improve, in that case, the Sixers would need to care about much in his health at this time around, after all, the Sixers are not even close to being an NBA Playoffs contender.

In addition to the report, the Philadelphia 76ers Head Coach Brett Brown mentioned in an interview that Ben Simmons' current situation would be a great time for him to develop before stepping to the hard court. Brett Brown cited that they will be working out Ben Simmons' shooting skills.

With Ben Simmons is sitting on the sideline, other rookies would have a bigger opportunity to take the 2017 Rookie of the Year Award. The CBS Sports picked 5 of the potential rookies to take over the rookie of the year award this NBA season.

On the list, 2 other Sixers players are included, Joel Embiid and Dario Saric. There is also the swagger Buddy Hield of the Pelicans, the controversial Lakers potential X-Factor Brandon Ingram and the scoring point guard Kris Dunn of the Minnesota Timberwolves.

The Sixers are now in the situation where they are very familiar with. This might not be the year for the Sixers, by everyone believed as soon as Ben Simmons hit the court, that would be a potential turnaround for them.
