‘Arrow Season 5’: [SPOILER ALERT] Is Flashpoint Going to Resurrect Black Canary?

Just a few days before "Arrow" Season 5 episode premiere, fans are eager to find out what they can expect this season. Is Flashpoint really going to be a major influence in Arrow-verse?

Black Canary is Back!

Many fans were outrage when Black Canary died last season. It's quite confusing for many why the producers of the show decided to kill Katie Cassidy's character. After all, Laurel Lance is the one thing that's consistent in Oliver Queen's life - aside from Diggle of course. Fans petitioned to have Black Canary back in "Arrow" Season 5 . They've even voted her as one of the most favorite DC TV Superhero.

And all of that hard work paid off because it's confirmed, Black Canary is coming back to the show. Executive Producer Wendy Mericle gave more information in an interview with TV Guide. Mericle said that Black Canary is going to appear in episode 510 and that Flashpoint is the one who will bring Black Canary back to life in v"Arrow" Season 5.

What Will Happen to Oliver Queen?

It seems Oliver Queen has a lot on his plate when "Arrow" Season 5 airs.  He's now the mayor of Star City and at the same time, he's trying to train new members of Team Arrow to fight alongside him in order to protect his city. With Thea and Felicity gone, we all have to wonder, can Oliver Queen do it all?

Again, Executive Producer Wendy Mericle expresses that it's actually what the whole season is all about - Oliver Queen balancing the act of being a public figure while being the Green Arrow as well. Mericle added, "Oliver's really more evolved than Season 1. He's trying to think about his legacy and whether he's more effective as the mayor or as Green Arrow." "Arrow" Season 5  is set to return on October 5, Wednesday 8/7c on the CW.
