"Empire" Season 2 concluded with a cliffhanger which left the Lyon family in chaos. There are hints shared by showrunner Ilene Chaikene about what may happen to the characters in "Empire" Season 3.

According to CheatSheet, Rhonda (Kaitlin Doubleday) and Anika (Grace Gealey) were seen having a fight on a 30-storey building. As they got more aggressive, one of them fell off but it was not clear who it was. Chaikene explains that in "Empire" Season 3, one of them will surely die from falling off. The one who survives will have a story to tell as the series moves along.

As for Jamal (Jussie Smollett), "Empire" Season 3 is mostly for him to recover. It can be recalled that he was shot and was recovering from the wound in the Season 2 finale. Most of his recovery in the upcoming season will be about emotional recovery.

Meanwhile, Cookie (Taraji P. Henson) is upset about Luscious (Terrence Howard) marriage to Anika. In the previous season, Cookie has made a promise to her family that she will always be there for them but also told them that she and Luscious are done. "Empire" Season 3 will bring her closer to Luscious since they will always be working together.

In a report by Hollywood Life, "Empire" Season 3 will show more flashbacks of the younger Cookie and Luscious Lyon. Their relationship history will be revealed and there is more to know about them. Their relationship deepens as time goes by.

Tariq (Morocco Omari) on the other hand wants to take Luscious down. He wants to put his half-brother in jail. In "Empire" Season 3, Tariq will stick around for a while, to take it on the Lyon family.

It is surprising how deep and personal his intentions are in taking down Luscious. "Empire" Season 3 airs every Wednesdays at 9 p.m. ET.
