Tokyo Ghoul fans are furious, according to GameNGuide, as Tokyo Ghoul Season 3 still has no air date in sight. Animators, Studio Pierrot, have promised for the 3rd season to be the bloodiest ever, with lots of uncensored gore, but have yet to tell fans when to expect the next season.

According to ITech Post, Studio Pierrot has promised to fast pace animation due to the positive reception of the series, but rumors say that it will air after the live-action film adaptation has been produced. The live-action film is scheduled for release on summer next year.

Tokyo Ghoul Season 2 finished airing in March 2015, as reported by BreathCast, causing fans to wonder at the delay. Rumor says that the delay is due to the third season material not being complete yet. But with more than a year and a half since the last season, it can be understood why fans are getting impatient.

Tokyo Ghoul is written by Sui Ishida and follows the story of Ken Kaneki, a college student turned half ghoul. In order to survive as a ghoul, he must eat human flesh. He meets a group of ghouls who run a coffee shop, who take him in and teach him how to deal with his new life.

The second season then centers on an amnesiac Ken Kaneki, who started calling himself Haise Saseki, and is the leader of the Quinx Squad. The Quinx Squad is a special team of investigators who underwent surgery to have special abilities to fight ghouls, without turning into one.

Rumors for Season 3 say this time around, Ken will become the antagonist of the story. How exactly that will play out, we're not sure. But with fans clamoring for what the creators promised as the bloodiest, harshest, and most unforgiving season yet, we're sure they can't wait to find out.
