The news about the alleged death of Will Smith's son Jaden Smith is circulating the internet. The rumor reveals that Jaden committed suicide.

But of course, the Get Down star is very much alive. The death hoax first emerged on Facebook wherein it says the actor is dead showing an image that the story comes from a reliable news site, CNN.

A video where the Jaden is saying goodbye was even shared but when one clicks it, it would merely lead to a different website or an app on Facebook, according to Mirror.

The hoax is actually a click bait that will lead the users to a certain page which requires them to enter personal information and even credit card details. This is apparently a scam to get more leads and fool people to the expense of Jaden and his family.

Rumors reveal that the young actor committed suicide because of his family. Other reports add that it is merely a publicity stunt and that Will Smith fabricated it to boost his son's career, Morning Ledger reported.

There are many proofs that Jaden is still alive despite the suicide hoax. Aside from his being part of the Get Down show, he is also active on social media and was even recently spotted with Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth.

Also, he appeared with his father Will Smith in the premiere of Suicide Squad and he is dating model Sarah Snyder. The two even looked love up together.

Recently, reports indicate that Jaden doesn't mind about the hoax since he feels that many cares for him because of it.

“Jaden [Smith] is OK with the death hoax, because, to him, it shows that people actually care about him,” a source said according to Hollywood Life. “He is using it as a badge of honor, like you haven’t made it until you are involved in a death hoax.

But despite the proof that Jaden is alive, the rumors still continue and many are curious if Jaden Smith is indeed dead and what caused his suicide.
