Months since its release, Pokémon Go continues to be the hype among the mobile gaming community. With the latest update from Nintendo, the gaming experience is bound to be amplified. By September 16, a wearable device paired with the game will be released.

Niantic Labs, the company that had built the technology which powers Pokémon Go announced that the device will be available by next week. However, John Hanke, the CEO of Niantic, failed to detail which countries would first get their hands on the device.

Pokémon Go Plus, priced at $35, works by Bluetooth Smart which is a low energy connection designed for fitness and health applications. So how does this device work with the game? Easy - it vibrates and lights up if a Pokéstop or Pokémon is close by. The device can be worn on the wrist or as a pin.

Niantic states that Pokémon Go Plus would "blend Pokémon Go even more seamlessly into family and fitness activities." This device would hopefully stop players from being too caught up in the game. Pokémon Go had been criticized after a number of accidents involving its players such as a 15-year old getting hit by a car in pursuit of a Pokémon. Other incidents include two men who had walked off a cliff while playing the game.

The device was originally set for launch back in July, but according to reports by The Verge, the company delayed the release with no explanation. Pokémon Go Plus is already sold out on Gamestop and Amazon.

However, for those seeking for an alternative, Apple will also be releasing a Pokémon Go Apple Watch app. The device works the same way as the Pokémon Go Plus which alerts the user of a nearby Pokémon or Pokéstop.

Fans of the game should mark their calendar for the much anticipated release of the Pokémon Go Plus device.
