A bit of an uncalled for situation for the mystery lovers as the upbeat thriller based drama series Pretty Little Liars is finally winding up after seven seasons.

Marlene King, the sensation behind the ABC based wonder is setting the seal on and putting final touches to it by broadcasting the highly anticipated seventh season. Probably the ultimate season, the series will highlight a great deal of romance and drama and of course countless lies and confessions as predicted.

While the finale of season 6 put up a great show, the premiere episode of the seventh season will commence where it left off. The finale exposed the one who has been sending death threats and duress to the girls with the assistance of Alison's husband, Eliot Rollins and created a twist when Hannah's life was jeopardised when she was kidnapped by Uber A, thus putting herself in a mess.

Titled as Tick-Tock Bitches, the Pretty Little Liars are granted with limited time i.e. 24 hours to #SaveHannah and as per the official release synopsis, the girls then bow down to make a deal with Uber A that might have unprecedented consequences.

Other than that, Executive producer Marlene King has claimed Season 7 "the season of homecomings." In an interview with EW, she said, "There's a lot of great people coming back ... there are a lot of old faces that are going to feel like new faces when we see them again this year."

Some of those characters include Jenna (Tammin Sursok), Noel Kahn (Brant Daugherty), Jason DiLaurentis (Drew Van Acker), and the suspicious doctor, Wren Kingston (Julian Morris).

Hollywood Reporter has reported that Lindsey Shaw will also recur as Emily's former girlfriend, Shay Mitchell.

Despite the poignant and jaw-dropping scenarios, it is maintained that one of the Rosewood couple will make their way to the altar. Yet to be revealed, the official synopsis did not shed light on the to be bride and groom, but Lucy Hale maintains "I can say that something very special and romantic happens for my character."

The coming and the final seventh season will consist of 20 episodes and will commence on Tuesday June 21 on Freeform.
