June 19 marks the first time when the 15-time world champion faces AJ Styles in the Money in the Bank match in Las Vegas Nevada. However, there are already rumors that the rivalry will go beyond the MITB.

An extended rivalry between the two is making a lot of sense as fans suggest for a match-up for a long time. Styles already established himself as a star with TNA and New Japan. Cena, on the other hand, remained a top WWE asset with 15 heavyweight champion titles to his name.

According to a report by Daily Wrestling News, some officials at WWE wanted to proceed with the storyline as soon as Cena returned to the ring following his absence due to a shoulder injury. Others think, however, that delaying the Dream Match until the Summer Slam will put fans in a state of suspense.

With the match set, Sportsblog sees AJ Styles as the likely winner emerging from the match. Styles has his Bullet Club (Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson) who will provide a constant distraction for Cena. With Styles bagging the win, the rivalry will be drawn further for months to come.

The plan right now is to bring Styles and Cena into new World Title bout if the rivalry continues possibly at the next PPV event. As per Inquistr report, there have been talks of the possibility that John Cena will bag his 16th World Title in Summer Slam. The original plan is to pit Roman Reigns against Cena at the said the event which would be likely staved off following news RAW-SmackDown brand split.

Beyond the highly anticipated match, some wrestling observers feel a sense of history in the making. Both wrestlers are on top of the food chain in their own respective worlds making Money in the Bank a must watch for wrestling fans.

This match is a big deal, not just for Money in the Bank, but for everybody who has watched the careers of Cena and Styles," said Bill Matz of the Brand as quoted by the Bleacher Report.
